The ZaVse/4ALL project believes in a non-discriminatory society and will employ several activities to reduce the level of discrimination in order to contribute significantly to the awareness, recognition and reduction of problems encountered in society as unequal opportunities and discrimination against vulnerable groups, such the Roma, the same-sex oriented, refugees, the socially disadvantaged and persons with disabilities.
ZaVse/4ALL is an initiative for less discrimination which contributes significantly to raising awareness and reducing the problems that exist in society regarding equal opportunities and discrimination against vulnerable groups. Discrimination and unequal opportunities are most pronounced especially in vulnerable groups such as the Roma, the same-sex oriented, refugees, the socially disadvantaged and persons with disabilities.
We are preparing a comprehensive campaign with two media campaigns for both segments and key vulnerable groups. The umbrella messages of the campaign are INCLUSION and ACCESSIBILITY 4ALL.
The project will launch various events, trainings and workshops to raise awareness among target groups on applicable legislation and rights regarding protection from discrimination; on the issue of discrimination against the Roma, the same-sex oriented, refugees and the socially disadvantaged; on the design of facilities with accessibility to the built environment, roads and information technologies for persons with disabilities; and on how persons with disabilities from different groups learn about the world and the environment.
We target NGOs focusing on vulnerable groups.
Persons from the above mentioned vulnerable groups most often seek help from NGOs, therefore it is important to recognize discrimination in a timely manner, to know the mechanisms for its prevention and the factors that can protect individuals from discrimination.
A secondary target group, however, are other key stakeholders, in particular public institutions (sectoral inspections, the police, ministries, local public and educational institutions), where discrimination may also occur.
